City mandal to telecast Durga Puja live from two cities

Andheri Link Road Sarbojanik Durga Puja will telecast Durga Puja live from three cities. The Lucknow feed will come from the Milan Sangho organisation in Aligan. The Kolkata telecast will be broadcast from Ekdalia Park, Ballygunge.

Andheri Link Road Sarbojanik Durga Puja will telecast Durga Puja live from three cities. The Lucknow feed will come from the Milan Sangho organisation in Aligan. The Kolkata telecast will be broadcast from Ekdalia Park, Ballygunge.



Then there will be a telecast from Mumbai as well. London is also on the anvil. Says Krishendu Sen, “Right now, we are in talks to get live transmission from Aileen, in North London. We will get a confirmation only in a day.”



This is the first time a religious festival will be telecast live 24/7 in the city. Devotees will be also able to send their offerings and receive prasad online. There are live performances too.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

contestants will perform on October 13 and Mika will take the stage the next day. Shankar Mahadevan will perform on October 15, followed by tabla player Bikram Ghost on October 16, followed by Vinod Rathod the next day.



The highlights of last year’s celebrations were performances by celebrities like Bappi Lahiri, Rituparna Sengupta, Mika and Shibani Kashyap. Jaya Bachchan and Anurag Basu also visited the mandals.
