After showcasing her dance skills in Om Shanti Om, actress Deepika Padukone is now doing her own take on some famous dance numbers in her soon-to-release film, Karthik Calling Karthik.
The track, Uff, teri yeh ada…, features the star trying to lure introverted Farhan Akhtar onto the dance floor. And when he refuses to budge, she tries every move she’s ever seen in the movies to hook him — from Hrithik Roshan’s Ek pal ka jeena from his debut film, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai to Amitabh Bachchan’s Kajra re… act in Bunty Aur Babli and Bipasha Basu’s Beedi jalaye le... sizzler from Omkara. The pretty actress was aided in her efforts by choreographers Uma and Gaiti.
This is the first time that the two characters go clubbing in the movie. Talking about them, director Vijay Lalwani explains, “Deepika plays a fun girl, an extrovert, while Farhan is the exact opposite. He doesn’t dance or drink while she has already downed a couple of pegs and is now trying to get him to match her jhatkas.”
