Dr Conrad Murray’s lawyers will reportedly by seeking probation when he is sentenced at the end of the month.
The doctor was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson’s death and could face up to four years in prison.
However, his legal team is hoping for a more lenient sentence when he returns to court on November 29.
According to TMZ, lawyers Mike Flanagan and Ed Chernoff will push for probation on the grounds that Murray has no criminal history and has been a model citizen and good doctor throughout his professional life, Contactmusic reported.
The two are currently reported to be getting former patients to give statements in support of their stated position.
Murray could serve up to two years in prison and sit out the punishment under house arrest under the recent changes to the Californian laws.
