Delectable David gets knotty

He swims in the ocean of comedy not only behind the camera, but also off it. He certainly doesn't need a script to convince an actor to work with him, he just needs to speak in his inimitable style.
To think of it, David Dhawan himself is a script who opens his mouth and showers interesting dialogues. He gives you a feeling that you are his movie's character, once you start interacting with him.
Ask him to divulge something about the storyline, and he says, "The door will only open on October 2, till then Do Knot Disturb."
Tease him about the tagline 'Fun lies behind closed doors', and pat comes the reply, "In real life I'm a very outdoor person."
Comedy is what all the filmmaker can think about right now. We wonder if he would make films like Swarg, Shola Aur Shabnam again, the director says, "I love to make films that make people laugh. I'd definitely like to make a serious film again someday, but right now comedy is what drives me."
About the 'Govinda' factor in his films, he says, "If I cast any other actor, I start thinking what would have Govinda done in this scene? So I have to cast him in nearly all my movies."
The director also admits that he imitates Govinda in real life. "I have realised that I have started copying Govinda while speaking. I say things the way Govinda says them."
The filmmaker laughs at the prospect of acting in a movie and says, "If it's with Govinda I'll definitely do it."
