Recently, there were reports circulating on how the drug mafia had intended to smuggle contraband at Mumbai’s New Year parties with the help of models performing at the venue. Model Rozlyn Khan was one of the performers, and was allegedly offered Rs 12 lakh to carry drugs to the venue in a bag.

Now, ad and documentary filmmaker Sucheta Bhatia is making a 45-minute short film titled Bollywood’s Underbelly, on the same subject. “I found the subject interesting after reading the news reports. Rozlyn unearthed a modus operandi that few are aware of. We will shoot with real drug peddlers and police officials and scan shady joints. Rozlyn will play the main lead. Excerpts of channel interviews will also be incorporated."

Rozlyn was recently awarded the Celebrity Whistleblower trophy at Lions Gold Awards and Bhatia will add Rozlyn’s video from the ceremony. She says, “The film will start from the awards night.”

Rozlyn elaborates, “It is a big achievement to be conferred with the award. I am grateful to the media and the Mumbai Police who initiated prompt action by beefing up the security at hotels where celebrity performances were taking place. This lead to a drug-free New Year’s eve.”
