She may have been away from the big screen for a while now, but actress Eesha Koppikhar says she’s content even if her kitty’s not full. “I don’t have to prove anything. I don’t want to be working round the clock — I have other things to do,” says Koppikhar.
The actress confesses that she is irked by media reports that she postponed her marriage with Timmy Narang because of the Colors show, 100% De Dhana Dhan. “I’m not one of those people who think kaam hai toh shaadi nahi karni or vice versa. For me, love and marriage are very important. I never announced any dates [for my marriage] to the media,” she fumes. So has she finally zeroed in on a date? “Whenever I set a date, I will proudly announce it,” she replies.
Talking about the show that she’ll be hosting, Koppikhar says, “I’m a trained martial artist and have always been into sports. That drew me to this show.” And how does she respond to critics who feel TV is a refuge for out-of-work actors? “We’ve had Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hosting shows… and all of them are acting,” she quips.
