Ekta Kapoor's iftaar party is a success

Producer Ekta Kapoor’s iftar party on August 6 saw an impressive turnout, with the likes of Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in attendance. But what got the shutterbugs really excited was the reunion of the cast of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (OUATIM) and the 2010 film’s upcoming sequel.

A source reveals, “While Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan (who will be seen in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara) were interacting with the guests, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai were also in attendance. Though Ajay Devgn (who played the lead role in OUATIM) couldn’t make it, his actor-wife Kajol came on his behalf."

Kangana, who reportedly had a tiff with Ekta a few months ago, also made an appearance. The rumour about a spat between the two originated during the promotions of Ekta’s production, Shootout At Wadala, as the actor was absent from most events. “When she walked into the party, she went straight to Ekta and gave her a hug. They even spoke for a brief time; then, after about 15 or 20 minutes, Kangana left."

Onlookers say that the two seemed to share no animosity and were enjoying each other’s company.
