Comeback star Eminem will front the 2009 MTV Movie Awards to be held in California on May 31.
The channel’s rep confirmed that the acclaimed rapper, who has been on hiatus since 2005, will headline the annual awards ceremony, which has previously seen performances from Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls.
The real Slim Shady will take to the stage after his recent return to the music front with his latest album Relapse which is slated for release on May 19, reports the New York Daily News.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old, in his signature style, has lashed out at his fellow celebrities in his new single ‘We Made You’.
He taunts Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in the song, which shows a woman dressed as Palin in a skirt and bustier splayed out on an office desk.
Eminem then makes sexually explicit comments as he appears to dress as her husband Todd Palin.
Other A-listers put under the firing line include Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse, Jennifer Anniston and Britney Spears.
