Now get a glimpse of the history of Delhi Metro as you travel through the city. An exhibition at seven stations showcases the journey of the Delhi Metro in the past 16 years.

The exhibition showcases the making of the Delhi Metro at seven prominent Metro stations and are considered an extension of the existing Metro Museum at Patel Chowk on the Yellow Line.

The photo exhibition that gives a glimpse into the making of the Delhi Metro through photographs and write-ups was inaugurated by Vir Bala, wife of new Delhi Metro chief Mangu Singh, at Patel Chowk Metro station.

The exhibitions, which are also on at Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Central Secretariat, INA, JLN Stadium and Akshardham Metro stations, are organised as part of celebrations to mark the third anniversary of Metro Museum.

On the occasion, a quiz competition about the history and facts about Delhi Metro was also organised for children, who are staying in the Children’s Home, run by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for destitute boys at Tis Hazari.

The metro museum at the Patel Chowk metro station showcases photographs, mementos and models, telling the visitors the story of making of the metro. There is also a model of the first train of the metro service.
