Highlight Story

Started in 1996, the shopping mall market on Arjun Marg has a variety of shops lined alongside the inner and outer circle, with an open central courtyard. Famous for its export surplus, the market has grown slowly but surely over the years to become a popular hangout for all age groups and needs.

Inner Circle
The Midland book store is a regular haunt for book lovers who visit this place for the latest magazines and novels at discounted rates. The open central courtyard with round concrete tables is the perfect spot for bookworms to flip through books of their interest. The junk jewellery sold at the corner stall by Shankar Bhateja comes with a guarantee card. With chunky rings, beaded neckpieces and gold-plated earrings priced between Rs100 to Rs 250, the stall attracts every girl’s fancy. The colourful watches and clocks starting from Rs100 at Sai Mobiles are easy on the pockets.

Export Hub
The market attracts people from all over Gurgaon and Delhi due to it’s reputation as a hub of exports. There are numerous shops and stalls selling tracks, t-shirts and summer shorts at prices that suit your pocket. 'I need to add new stuff to my wardrobe every week. The malls are expensive and Sarojini Nagar is too far. So, I shop at Arjun Marg,' says Ankita Malini, a youngster.

While The Mallika Shoppe in the inner circle has a range of hot pants and capris in bright colours, Keith ‘n’ Kin on the outer circle has something for all age groups, with a tailor sitting outside the shop to customize the dress according to one’s need. The ‘Mother and home’ store that sells Patiala salwars, kurtas and cotton skirts between Rs 500-1,000, is a favourite with the ladies.

Outer Circle
The markets’outer circle has the only store of Gopalas sweets shop in Gurgaon. Famous for its milk products and rasgullas, the shop is sure to make your day sweeter. The neatly packed lavasa (Mexican chips), eggless brownies, cakes and cottage cheese are also worth a try.

Desi Delight
The more prominent New Sukh Sagar stall has been selling rajma chawal and poori aloo for many years, but its appeal refuses to wear off. Visitors of all profiles can be seen gorging on a satiating plate of rajma chawal served with a handful of onion-cucumber salad and a piece of pickle in the afternoon. In the evenings, the shop offers crispy kachoris, samosas and paneer pakoras. Though the setting is minimal (there are only two round tables), the food scores for its price (Rs10 to Rs 40 a plate), satiability and taste.
Many chaat lovers are seen queuing up for golgappas at the Sweets Corner that costs Rs30 a plate. The Kulfi Falooda and Mango shake is another popular summer delight.

Coffee Culture
The numerous bakeries and coffee shops in the market are a hit with shoppers. While the hip crowd heads to Bagel’s Café for its healthy bagel sandwiches with cream cheese and salads, Black Brew Café is the stop shop for many on the go. Its burgers and cold coffee has many young fans. The fresh breads and pastries by Grand Plaza are a sweet delight

Daily Demands
Apart from clothes, jewellery and watches, the market provides the best in groceries too. The fresh produce shop in the outer circle lives up to its name by selling fresh vegetables and fruits every day. The recently opened Modern bazaar provides people with international cheese, breads and cold cuts. With four entrances and a central courtyard, the market is airy and well-lit, making it a pleasant place to visit in summers.
