Who: Bobby Deol
Where: Ajmer Sharif

Actor Bobby Deol visited the Ajmer dargah to pray for the success of his film Thank You, that released recently. Reportedly, thousands of fans waited outside the shrine to catch a glimpse of the star. This made it tough for Deol to get inside, but he managed to offer his prayers and a chadar at the holy place.

Actor Priyanka Chopra took time off her busy schedule to offer prayers at the Ajmer dargah. She tweeted, “On my way to visit Ajmer Sharif. Have so much to be grateful for.”

Actor Vivek Oberoi, who got married in October last year, visited the Golden Temple, the famous Sikh gurdwara, at Amritsar with his wife Priyanka Alva, in March this year. Oberoi took the trip immediately after the Cricket World Cup semi-final match between India and Pakistan took place in Mohali. The newly-married couple offered prayers at the prominent gurdwara and seeked the blessings of the almighty.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan paid a visit to Ajmer Sharif dargah to pray for his mother on her 20th death anniversary. He visited the holy place with his head covered, among hundreds of people and saints present there. He also offered a floral wreath at the shrine. The actor, who was accompanied by Congress leader Rajeev Shukla, was quoted as saying, “I have prayed for my family’s well being and for my IPL team to play their best, and for the success of my upcoming sci-fi film, Ra.One.”

Actor Shilpa Shetty, who is known to be quite religious, visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai along with her parents Surendra and Sunanda Shetty and sister Shamita Shetty, a month ago. Shilpa offered prayers to lord Ganesha amidst a huge crowd, on occasion of Angarika Sankashti Chaturthi. But the actor looked deeply upset with the presence of media at the temple during her visit.

Actor Eesha Koppikhar too sought divine intervention when she visited the Golden Temple at Amritsar, last month. She posted pictures of her visit on Twitter. The photo’s caption read, “At the Golden, feel blessed.”
