Aamir Khan, the perfectionist, is leaving no stone unturned to promote Ghajini. From the perfect body, the actor has now moved on to perfect marketing strategies.

The movie’s latest press kit comes with a stack of 15 Polaroid photos, with a personalised note on each. Not only that, journalists who’ve interacted with the actor in the past also got a personal handwritten note from Aamir scribbled at the back of their own photographs. This reporter got one too.

A source said Aamir, in tune with the film’s theme, crafted the campaign. “In Ghajini, Aamir’s character has a 14 minute 52 second long memory. He takes Polaroid snaps of people, and adds a personal note, to remember details. It’s similar exercise he did with media. We invited details from 200 reporters, including their photos. Aamir scanned through them and added a personal message from his memory. For those, who didn’t send their photos, Aamir searched for their bylines and wrote on the basis of their writing,” Aamir spent 8 nights writing these personalised messages.

Prior to this phase of publicity, Aamir’s capitalised on the Ghajini haircut he sports in the movie. Ushers in various cinema halls, along with those at the refreshment counters, will also sport the same look.
