It was interesting to see Gauri at the party minus her superstar husband.
The same evening, the star wife was also seen accompanying SRK at the Bachchans’ Diwali celebrations in Juhu.
Interestingly, on his birthday on November 2, Shah Rukh had stated that he has no issues in working with his Karan Arjun (1995) co-star.
"The producers and directors should come up with a good script .... Inshallah if there is a chance we will work together. If it happens, good, and if it doesn’t, then also it is ok," Shah Rukh had said at a press conference at his residence, on being asked if there was a possibility to see the two in a film again.
Earlier this year, on Eid, the two warring Khans — Shah Rukh and Salman — hugged each other at an Iftar party. And now, a few months after that incident, SRK’s wife Gauri was seen making her way to a Diwali bash hosted by Salman, his brother Sohail and Sohail’s wife Seema.
Shah Rukh and Salman were also seen together in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), but have not been on talking terms after an alleged skirmish between them at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash in 2008.
"We don’t have angst against each other. It is just that hamare raaste alag hain (we have different paths). We have no ego issues between us. We both respect each other and our families," SRK had further stated on his birthday.
For a long while now, they have been making headlines for their alleged relationship. But Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra have always maintained a stoic silence about it. However, Rani was seen celebrating Diwali with Aditya and their families.
The film-maker’s mother Pamela Chopra and Rani’s parents were also present at the Chopras’ Juhu bungalow.
Dressed in a violet sari with matching jewellery, Rani apparently took good care of the guests that included Karan Johar, Vaibhavi Merchant, Jimmy Sheirgill, Kirron Kher and Rhea Pillai.
