I’m alarmed! I am alarmed at the rate of people resorting to drugs to maintain the so-called “balance” in their lives. Whether it is being pumped on certain stimulants like cocaine to keep them charged up or resorting to psychedelic drugs to chase their own transient brand of “creativity” – more and more people in the world are resorting to recreational drug use.

In the name of experimenting, most people fall prey to drugs, but at what point does the word “experimenting” lose its meaning and the drug takes over your life? If we need an external substance to make us happy, aren’t we numbing our own senses? The essence, which makes each person an individual, is lost and then we fall further into the abyss of depression.

What’s more shocking is that more and more kids are attuning themselves to this kind of a lifestyle.

13-year-olds are getting caught smoking marijuana, 15-year-olds swear by drugs like MDMA. The current generation is no longer naive.

The effect of drugs is considered to be euphoric, yet in truth, they are but ephemeral. Kick out these external substances and get high in the right way, the clean way. It might be hard to believe, but the best way to get high is from the simplest things in life. Workout, laugh out loud, love — get the endorphins flowing in your body naturally. Fulfill your life on your own merit so that you will not have to fill the emptiness in your heart with chemicals. Trust me, you won’t be coming down from these kinds of high anytime soon.
