He may have portrayed the latest superhero on
but at one point of time, Chris Pratt was hardpressed to make both ends meet. The star of Zero Dark Thirty and hit TV series Parks and Recreation was practically homeless and living out of a van.
On Friday, the 35-year-old actor shared a photo of the Scooby-Doo van he used to call home.
"Can't believe I found this picture!!!" he shared on Facebook. "That is the van I lived in!!! In my hand is the script for the movie that got me out of Maui. Crazy." The script is believed to be from the 2000 short horror movie, Cursed Part 3.
In earlier interviews, Pratt has shared details about his financial situation before making it big in Hollywood. After dropping out of college after one semester, the actor did various odd jobs.
Talking about the island Maui, he said to a publication, "It's a pretty awesome place to be homeless. It would be different if I lived on the streets of Chicago and ate garbage from a dumpster."
It was while working there that Pratt met actor-director Rae Dawn Chong who eventually gave Pratt his first significant role.
