Okay, we’ve heard of actors doing something in real life to prepare for the reel character better. However, when Gul Panag learnt that she would have to smoke for Prakash Jha Productions’ Turning 30, she decided to get smart about it.

The lissome lass, who is strictly against lighting up in real life, at first vehemently told debutant director Alankrita Shrivastava to make that change in her character, reveals my jasoos from Juhu. But when that wasn’t possible, Gul opted for herbal cigarettes.

At the end of the day, everyone was thankful to herbal cigarettes for saving them. While director Aklankrita was pleased her film’s character remained unchanged, Gul was most thrilled that she didn’t have to break her principles. Attagirl!
