If you’re an IPL enthusiast, this may help you deal with your favourite team’s loss a little better. Among the many IPL offers lined up by city pubs and clubs, a bar has come up with a unique one: If your team is not playing well and you are angry and frustrated, break their plates, bowls and glasses!
The 567, an ‘art music bar’ located in Green Park, has introduced this anger management concept. “We realised that when one is frustrated, breaking a few things helps. So, we introduced this offer during the IPL so that if your team isn’t doing well, you can break some bowls, glasses or even plates,” says Nikhil Kumar of the hangout.
Of course, you’ll have to pay for it. “A bowl costs Rs 300, a plate Rs 200 and a glass Rs 100 plus taxes. Interestingly, many youngsters are visiting us not for the matches, but to smash a few ceramics,” he adds.
Delhiites are all for the break. “Hurling plates on the floor feels like such a great release,” says Manisha Kapoor, 26. “Now that’s my chance to deal with the frustration,” says Shea Pandey, 21.
