After three Bollywood biggies — Nishabd, Ghajini and Housefull — Jiah Khan is Hollywood bound. The actress has signed up for two international projects. “I can’t give out too many details yet but one of the films is an adaptation of a classic English play. Both have huge canvases. I should be shooting for them by October,” informs Jiah.

She says that she was getting offers even before her debut film, Nishabd, released three years ago. “But I couldn’t imagine myself in most of the roles offered to me. But in these two films, I immediately connected with the characters I play,” she says. Is she playing the leading lady? Jiah points out that the concept of a leading lady is different in the West. “You can have Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore and Halle Berry in one film with each one playing an important character befitting a leading lady,” she says. “I have important roles in both my films too.”

Jiah also quashes rumours of her relationships. “I’m single and hardly sexy. There were rumours that I was dating some prince. That’s trash! I don’t have time for a relationship for the next five years, even though I dream about my Mr Right every night. I hope he comes on a white charger and sweeps me off. I know it’s very fairy-taleish but then I’m a Piscean!”
