To compete with Marvel productions over the next four years, Warner Bros is preparing an onslaught of big screen adaptations of DC Comics.

Former Deadline editor-in-chief Nikki Finke has revealed what she claims is Warner Bros' production schedule of DC Comics adaptations over the coming years. The titles and timeline are expected to be confirmed by the studio at Comic Con, which is set to take place July 24-27 in San Diego.

According to the Hollywood journalist, Warner Bros is developing  Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (May 2016), Shazam (July 2016), an adaptation of Sandman (December 2016), Justice League (May 2017), Wonder Woman (July 2017), a joint Flash and Green Lantern movie (but without Ryan Reynolds, December 2017), and Man of Steel 2 (May 2018).

In addition to ensuring Warner Bros a hefty share of box office revenues over the coming years, the line-up gives superhero fans plenty of fodder for speculation on casting and plot details.
