Day five of the 65th Cannes International Film Festival saw dark clouds hover over the French Reviera followed by a heavy shower on the red carpet. However, the rains couldn’t really play spoilsport as celebs still managed to put on their best outfits, as they arrived with umbrellas to attend the premiere of director Michael Haneke’s film, Amour.

Actor Gerard Butler ditched the main event and stayed in a yacht giving interviews, while singer Cheryl Cole stole the show with her mere two-and-a-half hours attendance at the gala. Meanwhile, on Sunday, a French feminist group demonstrated a protest against the lack of female directors at the fest this year.
