In 2011, Ranbir Kapoor was voted ‘The Sexiest Asian Man.’ This year, the Rockstar is placed sixth in the list of 50 that Hrithik Roshan tops. The actor swept the survey conducted by the Eastern Eye Weekly by the largest margin ever.

Shahid Kapoor is the surprise runners-up, followed by the evergreen Khans - Shah Rukh (No. 3) and Salman (No. 4). Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar ranks fifth, John Abraham seventh, followed by British star Jay Sean (no. 9) and World Boxing Champ Amir Khan (No. 10).

Indian batsman Virat Kohli debuts at No. 18, his captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni at No. 33 and bowler Zaheer Khan at No. 39. Prateik Babbar (No. 20) is ahead of Ajay Devgn (No. 29), Farhan Akhtar (No. 34) and even his Dhobi Ghat producer Aamir Khan (No. 35). Imran is higher up at No. 12, Saif Ali Khan a close 13 while Siddharth Mallya makes the grade at 31.

Hrithik attributes his Greek God looks to “good genes”, giving the credit to his parents, Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, for having passed them on. The 37-year-old who makes women swoon, is still crazy about his first love. “I knew when I met Sussanne 12 years ago that I wanted to spend my life with her. A year after we started dating, I took her to Juhu beach and went down on my knees to ask her to be my wife. The big proposal with the ring came later,” he smiles.

For Hrithik, love goes beyond looks and is rooted in the soul. His favourite on-screen love stories are Koi… Mil Gaya (2003) that forged a bond between a chirpy miss and a specially-abled boy, Guzaarish (2010) that left everything unsaid as it brought a dying man and his nurse closer and Jodhaa-Akbar (2008) that was “visually stirring and poetic”.

This year, he scored with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a film he did for the "love of pure cinema". His TV debut in Just Dance that got his lookalike 15 proposals added to his fan base, as did the wax lookalike at Madame Tussauds museum in London. He says, "The statue is symbolic of my journey as an actor. I hope it’ll inspire my kids to never give up. It’s an honour but I can’t rest on these laurels. I have to jump off skyscrapers and save the world in Krrish 2."
