I wanted to know where can I find music merchandise like Jimi Hendrix posters or T-shirts or mugs inspired by western classical rock bands like Led Zepplin, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd?
Hi Abhigya, thanks for writing to us. T-shirts and merchandise with pictures of music icons on them are available in the Paharganj main market at affordable prices. If you are unable to find your favourite star’s merchandise there, then check out the collection at Punk. The store has a huge variety of T-shirts, bags, table coasters, lighters and much more. The store has its branches at DLF Place in Saket, DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj and Pacific Mall in Subhash Nagar. You could also try the merchandise shop at Hard Rock Café in Saket. Even many shops in Hauz Khas main market are lined up with merchandise based on rock and pop stars.
Can you tell me where can I get clay wind chimes in the city? I have been looking for them for so long now.
Wind chimes are available in all major markets in the city. The stretch on the Khirki Extension has shops which have a good variety of wind chimes both in the original clay colour and in other colours. The range begins from R100 onwards. Also check out the three shops in the lane opposite Lady Shri Ram College near Moolchand crossing. Another shop, which is opposite the Lajpat Nagar Metro Station, sells clay goods. Go for wind chimes in different sizes there. On a lucky day, you may even find street vendors selling wind chimes at Sarojini Nagar and Janpath markets.
Can you please tell me where in Delhi can I find old and new Phantom and Mandrake comics? I am a huge fan of these, but am unable to find them anywhere.
Hi Anupam. You can easily find old and new comics in Daryaganj market. The book shops there sell both new and second hand comics. While you are there, you can also check Nai Sarak, which is known for its collection of second hand books. You can also go to Anjali Bookstore in Lajpat Nagar. The shop stocks over 20,000 second hand books. Also check out the book stands at Anupam Complex in Saket and in Vasant Vihar.
I want to gift someone a Mackintosh — a garment worn during rain and snow. Can you tell me which shops deal in imported mackintosh in Delhi? I have been searching for it but could not find one.
Hi Ushree. If you are looking for imported mackintosh at a reasonable price, then you would be able to find one at the various shops that have goods confiscated from the customs. You can find these shops in Lajpat Nagar, Chanakya Puri, Mahipalpur and Sector 18 market in Noida. If price is not a constraint, then you can try Debenhams at Ambience mall in Gurgaon or at Marks & Spencers at The Great India Place Mall in Noida.
