We live in times where people are obsessed with their looks. There are those who go beyond the wardrobe and look into the mirror thinking about what aspect of their bodies they could change.

With rumours of actors going under the needle only to deny the reports as false, actor Juhi Chawla Mehta talks about how she almost got her nose altered. Speaking at the opening of, Blush, Dr Jamuna Pai’s skin care clinic in the Capital, she said, “When I was a teenager, I hated my nose. So I went to a cosmetic surgeon and he said he’ll have to break this and that. I got scared. The whole procedure frightened me and that I would not look the same. So I never went through with it or went back.” Even though she did not want to comment on anyone who had been under the knife, she had advice for those who might. “I wouldn’t want to comment on what they do as it’s a personal choice. If you want to enhance anything, if you want to look better, feel better, who’s to say no? As a person if you ask me, you could change yourself completely. But there should be a balance. You could lose your personality. Don’t lose yourself” said the 45-year-old.

With the trend of quite a few actors singing their songs or collaborating with artists, Juhi, who is a trained singer, also spoke of how she could consider releasing an album. “But it’s not going to be pop or rock. Mine would be of a different genre. It is in the planning now that you have mentioned it” she said jokingly.

She also quashed rumours of her and Madhuri Dixit being rivals earlier, saying that she had a wonderful experience with her filming for upcoming film Gulaab Gang which she found very exciting and challenging as an actor.
