‘I feel like I’m Johnny Depp’

Four films old and counted among Bollywood’s top stars, Ranbir Kapoor’s body of work is small, but impressive. But what’s more interesting are the washboard abs and strapping arms that make him India’s sexiest man alive — as the actor has been voted by

People

magazine.

“I feel like I’m Johnny Depp,” says Ranbir laughing when asked to comment on the title. “But I don’t know if I should take it very seriously and start believing that I’m sexy. Because all my life I’ve believed that I’m not. I could pass off as cute and someone who has a certain amount of boyish charm,” he adds.

Ranbir says he’s loving all the attention that’s coming his way. “If I didn’t have the adulation, I would feel that something is wrong. An actor would be lying if he said that he hates fans or doesn’t like being mobbed. Being mobbed is a lovely thing. You feel special,” he says.

In fact, Ranbir has fans even proposing him on

Facebook

or

Twitter

. “But I don’t take it seriously. Three people have formed a fan club,

and I chat with them sometimes. There are, 6,800 girls on that forum who offer me constructive criticism,” says the actor.

But Ranbir says he’s shy around girls and is a bit of an introvert. “I’ve had only three (serious) relationships and it took me 45 days to hold my first girlfriend’s hand. During the first two weeks, I didn’t even call her. I used to get a friend to call her and I used to be on conference call because I was too nervous to talk to her.”
