It’s not been long since actor Minissha Lamba, 26, was detained at the airport — while returning from Cannes — for carrying undeclared jewellery.

But Amul butter brand, known for its funny take on topical events, has already taken up the incident in its ad. Punning on the her surname, the ad recalls her “Lamba wait at the airport!” with the tag, “Daily custom.”

Minissha, who will be next seen in

Bheja Fry 2

, is sporty about the ad. “It’s hilarious,” she says, adding that she’s been a fan of the brand’s hoardings since her childhood. “The copy is fabulous. I guess it’s an honour,” she says. The actor says she not only kept calm during her detention, but also cracked jokes, leaving the custom officials “flummoxed.” Minissha, however believes the incident taught her the complicated laws regarding customs.
