Film and television star Rohit Roy is honest to the point of being blunt when he claims thathe has not delivered a single hit in his decade long career in Bollywood. But what puzzles the actor is that he continues to get work despite not being able to give hits.
"I have stopped analysing my career and have left it to God. I have not delivered a single hit in the past ten years but I am still busy," said the actor, who started his acting journey with 1995 TV serial Swabhimaan.
Rohit's recent releases include Karan Razdan's Mittal v/s Mittal and Jagmohan Mundhra's Apartment co-starring Tanushree Dutta and Neetu Chandra.
"I am more inclined towards topically relevant films like Mittal v/s Mittal, which highlights the issue of marital rape. Also the fact that I had national award winning actress Rituparna Sengupta opposite me was an added challenge," said Rohit.
He is not only busy acting but also directing and producing films through his own production house, as well as anchoring various television shows.
Rohit, who is all set to host Imagine TV's new reality show Desi Girl, claims to be the next best anchor in India after megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"I am the best anchor in India, I'm creative and very comfortable in my job. But that list does not include Mr Amitabh Bachchan, because he is God, no one is better than him," he said.
The actor is still known for his portrayal of Rishabh Malhotra in the hit serial Swabhimaan. Rohit admits that he copied Bachchan through and through in the serial as he had no idea about acting back then.
