A graduate from Delhi University, Manoj Bajpayee started his career with the TV serial Swabhimaan. He then moved to the big screen and did films such as Bandit Queen, before shooting to overnight fame with the character of Bhiku Mhatre in Satya. This was followed by films like Aks, Zubeidaa and Pinjar. Now, with his portrayal of Veerendra Pratap in Raajneeti, Bajpayee is back in the reckoning. His forthcoming films include Dus Tola and Chittagong Uprising...

The medieval period in India. There was loads of Mughlai food and I love it.

Three places you love shopping in?
Malaysia, Norway and Delhi.

If you had to spend one crore in a day, what would you do?
I would invite all my friends, take them to the most expensive restaurant and eat as much as we could.

News.

If you had to go for a fancy dress party, what’s the whackiest costume you would come up with?
I think I’d wear my vest over my shirt to outdo Superman...

My family.

The one thing you would always like to get as a gift?
A watch.

Sit in one place and keep counting.

That I was involved in a brawl in a restaurant.

Would love to be a dog since they are the most pampered pets.

Medium weights and loads of cardio with meditation.

One thing you love about your partner?
The fact that she’s very straightforward.

Your favourite indoor and outdoor game?
Squash (indoor) and cricket (outdoor).

God. It’s unshakable.
