Actor Kareena Kapoor has never been busier. She is endorsing 13 brands, has films with all the top Khans lined up this year, and has acclaimed author Shobha De planning a book on her.

“This year, I’ve signed far too many films. Next year, I won’t make the mistake of saying yes so easily. I will not take on so much work just because people approach me,” she says.

Does being so highly sought after make her feel like the number one? “People come up with these tags every other day. But rather than being labelled number one or the most beautiful, I’d prefer to be known as a great actor,” she says.

Her supposed arch-rival, Priyanka Chopra had recently declared herself the number one actress. Kapoor and Chopra were known to be Kareenaclose friends at one time, but Kapoor’s outlook on friends in Bollywood has changed drastically over the last few years. "Friends in Bollywood aren’t consistent. But it makes no difference now. I’d rather do my work and then go home to spend time with the friends I’ve had from when I wasn’t even an actor. Why pretend to like someone when you clearly don’t get along with them!" she says matter of factly.

But with her hands so full, where’s the time for friends anyway? “I throw tantrums, I fight with my managers. Sometimes you have to do it to get time for yourself,” she says.

So, will 2012, as she announced on the TV chat show, Koffee with Karan, be all about tying the knot with beau Saif Ali Khan? “Saif knows it’s my moment right now. He knows I’m exactly where I need to be and he supports me in that. So, when 2012 comes and I do decide to change paths of my life, everyone will hear about it,” she says.

Could this “changed path” mean a Hollywood movie, too? “Hollywood is too far me to go and work. They already have a Kate Winslet and a Natalie Portman. So, why would I want to go there and do two minute roles in films, when I’m a star here?” she reasons.
