Highlight Story

Priyanka Chopra is full of excitement as she gears up to shoot for her first film with Yash Raj Films —

Pyar Impossible

, which teams her with Uday Chopra.

Pyar Impossible

is about a geek falling for an unattainable girl… sounds like

Notting Hill

. Is it inspired from the film?

No, it isn’t. The only similarity between the films is that there is a geek and an unattainable girl.

Is it based on the hit American TV series

Beauty and the Geek

?

Any film on unattainable love can be based on any film, but the story is very different.

Do you think

pyaar

is possible only if your partner looks good?

The criterion for being with someone should not be looks; if they look great then it’s a bonus. If they don’t, it doesn’t matter. It’s about how the person makes you feel.

Uday has not been very successful in his acting career. Did you accept the film solely because of the banner?

If that had been the case, I would have done other films that had come my way from the banner. I never do a film for an actor or a director.

What made you say yes to the movie?

I just loved the script. A lot of people will be able to relate to the movie. All of us have some insecurities. I am including myself. Questions like ‘Am I looking good today?’ do come to our minds.

Have you ever met a geek?

I was a geek myself in school.

And did you meet someone unattainable?

I was in America in Grade 8. I was a geek and I couldn’t talk to anyone. I would pretend to be invisible. I would hide and go from one class to another very quietly, sticking to the wall. I had this crush on a person and whenever I would bump into him, I didn’t know what to say.

Are you doing a movie with Ranbir?

Yes, I am. It is a Sajid Nadiadwala film directed by Siddharth Anand but that is at a later stage.
