‘I will not join a social networking website’

After a brief hiatus, actor Suniel Shetty has returned to movies with his recent release Red Alert-The War Within, where the actor essays the role of Narasimha – a farm labourer, who finds himself trapped in a Naxal group.

Talking about his character, Shetty says, “I was very nervous while shooting for this movie. It is the toughest character I have played after the role of Capt. Bhairav Singh in

, we want to send message ogf hope and tell everyone that taking up guns is not the solution for the naxalite movement in India.”

Not many are aware that Shetty’s 15-year-old son Ahan also wants to join Bollywood. When asked, the proud father said, “My son in an aspiring actor. But Ahan and I are clear that he has to educate himself in cinema before he ventures into Bollywood.”


Apart from acting, Ahan also has talent in music. Reveals Suniel, “Ahan is the lead singer and guitarist of a music band.”



When everyone in the B-town is joining Twitter these days, Shetty keeps himself away from such online social networks. “I am not on Twitter or Facebook and will never join it. I am a very private person and not comfortable interacting directly with my fans,” he informs.



Talking about his future projects, Shetty says, “My upcoming projects include two comedies with Aneez Bazmee –

No Problem

Thank You

with Priyadarshan and an untitled movie with JP Dutta.



He further adds that his production company, Popcorn Entertainment, will be back soon with two films:
