One of the biggest Bollywood grossers of all time, 3 Idiots, will be screened as part of a film festival in Australia aimed at bridging the cultural gap between people in India and Australia. It comes on the heels of a slew of recent attacks on Indians there.
For the next two months, people in Australia will be treated to a number of Indian films. 3 Idiots will be screened by director Rajkumar Hirani to promote the Indian film festival, along with actress Rani Mukherjee. “Incidents (of attacks on Indians) are sad, but one wouldn’t like to say that every person, every Australian walking along the street is against Indians,” Hirani said.
