Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra started out as an ad filmmaker and directed several well-known TV commercials. He made his directorial debut with Aks and followed it up with his landmark second film Rang De Basanti. Post Delhi 6 and Teen They Bhai (he was the producer), he is starting his next, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biopic of athlete Milkha Singh

One word that describes you best?
Adventurous.

If a traffic constable hauled you up, what would you do?
I would show him my licence.

What makes you feel sexy?
My feelings.

The colour ‘pink’ for you is...
...It reminds me of my 12-year-old daughter who is very fond of pink.

A place where you would like to be lost for a month?
Somewhere underwater on a diving expedition.

What did you do with your first pay cheque?
I gave it to my mother.

You are late for work and all the roads are jammed. Choose a mode of transport: a cycle, a horse or a skateboard. Why?
I would choose a skateboard as I have learnt to do that recently.

Which superhero would you like to be and why?
I would want to be Mandrake as he knows how to hypnotise others.

The last time you rode on a bus?
Some four weeks ago in Mumbai. I do that very often.

black swan. I really liked the movie, it touched me deeply.

this one is completely weird. it was An octopus!

Your favourite freedom fighter?
Che Guevara. His life has been very inspiring for me
