magazine, the tennis champ remains a hot favourite on the court and off. Moya won two tournaments in India but even before that happened, “the atmosphere was very different and I could see how kind the people were.”

Apart from Chennai and Mumbai, Carlos has not traveled around India. “I have heard that Goa is a very nice place. People tell me it is a beautiful place. Next time I come, I will visit the entire country,” he says.

He is currently dating Carolina Cerezuela, a Spanish TV actress, he wishes to spend the rest of his life with her but marriage is not on the cards. “She is young and we don’t need papers to tell [us] that we love each other more than love.”

He partnered India’s young tennis star, Yuki Bhambri at the Aircel Chennai Open. “I am always motivated to play with youngsters. Yuki is a nice guy. He keeps his feet on the ground. A complete player, he has a great future ahead of him.” The world may be following his trendy styles on the court, but a lone tattoo his muscular arm is all Moya flashes for fashion. “I got this done 10 years ago. It was painful and so I have just this one,” he laughs.
