more actors. A period film, its shooting will commence this year-end.
Issar who played Duryodhan in BR Chopra’s TV epic Mahabharat, is also toying with the idea of an international film. It is learnt that he was in the US recently for almost two months. “He had meetings with several production houses and studio heads and he’s upbeat about cracking a big deal,” says our source, adding,“However, Puneet intends to cast only Indians.”
Sohail Khan is producing another period film, Kisaan. Directed by Punet Sira, it will feature Arbaaz, Sohail, Jackie Shroff and Dia Mirza playing herself in a special appearance. The film will be released early next year.
Anil Sharma’s period epic, Veer, will feature Salman Khan and a bare-bodied Mithun Chakraborty who has hit the gym with a vengeance. The film is set in the 19th century and is believed to be inspired by Hollywood’s Taras Bulba (1962) which toplined Yul Brynner and Tony Curtis.
