First he was ‘unfollowed’ by MP Shashi Tharoor, and now it is the Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman and union minister Rajiv Shukla who has unfollowed former IPL chairman Lalit Modi on Twitter. And, Modi did not accept it graciously. “I scared @shuklarajiv he unfollwed me — guess have to reciprocate. It was fun while it lasted,” he tweeted in reaction, and unfollowed him to do a tit-for-tat.

He even explained the move to one of his followers by tweeting, “... just saw he had unfollowed. So what’s point of 1 way with him. Does not add additional info to me.”

However, within a few hours, Modi had added Shukla back even though the latter had not added him back till the time of going to press. Modi defended the yo-yo episode by saying that it was Shukla’s “sense of humour” that made him revoke his decision, and even took a sarcastic dig. “Actually I have added him back @ShuklaRajiv. As he cracks me up. Anyone know if Lalu Yadav and Banta singh are on Twitter. Need daily dose.”

While Shukla refused to comment, the rest of Twitterati was busy enjoying all of it.

“@LalitKModi

Good decision in today’s stressful life Shukla
