Abhay Deol is keeping a safe distance from the promotional activities of Aisha citing date problems.

Aisha's producer Anil Kapoor invited Abhay to London for the promotion of film, but apparently the actor who's shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain, couldn't get permission from producer Ritesh Sidhwani to fly down to London.

Well but rumours suggest otherwise. There were reports that Abhay was not happy with the filming of the movie and was not quite satisfied with his role. A source tells Mumbai Mirror, "Abhay was peeved with certain things. Flying down for even one promotional activity will cost his producers three days minimum in Spain."

Apparently the shooting schedule for Zindagi.. was chalked out well in advance, and the release date of Aisha was decided later. That probably caused the commotion.

AbhayA source tells Mumbai Mirror, "Aisha stars Abhay and Sonam in the lead and it is surprising to see Abhay missing from all the promotional activities and Sonam everywhere. The solo reason is that his dates were given to Zoya well in advance and the movie release date suddenly popped up and in no way could he adjust his schedule and just fly down. He did finish all the television interviews and chat shows before he left for Spain but the fact that he is not present close to the release date is surprising."

In an attempt to sort things out, Anil Kapoor tried to convince Ritesh but in vain. Says Anil, “Yes, I did speak to Ritesh Sidhwani before Abhay left. And I have been in touch with Abhay but he couldn’t fly down as there will be date issues with his other co-actors. I wanted Abhay to fly down to London (considering he is in Spain) but even that was not possible.”

He adds, “Abhay has done his set of TV interviews and chat shows, but couldn’t be a part of the promotional activities.”
