Pop star Michael Jackson is being lined up to make an appearance in the
final. If reports are to be believed, executives from production company Talkback Thames are already in talks with Michael’s manager Frank DeLeo.
Michael is already set to stage 50 gigs at the O2 Arena in London. Simon Cowell is said to be keen to take advantage of Michael’s stay in London, and thus has planned to feature him as a mentor to one of the three finalists. If Cowell has his way, Michael would also be seen singing a duet with his contestant.
“Talks are at an early stage but progressing well. Jackson’s representatives are open to negotiations and Jackson himself is said to be keen on the idea,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying. “Simon’s priority is to get bigger and bigger guests on the show each year and they certainly don’t get much better than Michael Jackson. It would be a real coup for the show. Simon desperately wants this,” the source added.
