Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger has been diagnosed with acute traumatic stress disorder.

The 71-year-old singer developed the condition following the death of his long-term partner and the fashion designer

L'Wren Scott

, reported Daily Telegraph.

The postponement of the Australian and New Zealand legs of The Rolling Stones' tour came after Jagger took doctors' advice not to perform for a month.

Scott's underwriters claim that because she committed suicide they do not have to pay out 8 million pound that the band are demanding from the 17 million pound policy.

Jagger's condition came to light as a result of court papers in the ongoing legal battle over insurance.

Scott was found dead on March 17 in her Manhattan apartment.
