The couple gave a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight that read that the rumours regarding their extravagant wedding were simply not true, as the couple got married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony last year.
The statement further read that their wedding gifts to each other were contributions to their respective favourite children"s charities, the New york Post reported.
The couple added that they would appreciate that their privacy is respected and that they are allowed time for celebration and joy.
Jackson, 46, and her 37-year-old Qatari billionaire boyfriend were reportedly engaged in December 2012.
This is the third marriage for Jackson, who was previously married to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo.
