Rap mogul Jay-Z and US President Barack Obama have topped the list of most powerful celebrities compiled by leading hip-hop magazine, The Source.

While Jay-Z topped the 'Power 30' list, Obama was given top billing on the honorary power list because of his influence on the new hip-hop generation, reported Mirror online.

The rapper had come in at number 32 in the Forbes list of most powerful celebrities while Obama bagged the 49th position on the same list.

Jay-Z topped the list which included names like P Diddy, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, will.I.Am, Snoop Dogg and T-Pain.

The magazine said the '99 Problems' singer tops the list because he's an industry leader and a top businessman, with his successful ventures.
