Hollywood star Jessica Simpson, who was mocked for her high-waisted ‘mom jeans’ last summer, is set to launch an eponymous denim line. The 29-year-old singer, who had recently visited India to film some episodes with Bollywood beauty Neha Dhupia for
’s reality show The Price of Beauty, is launching the range in partnership with a leading apparel brand this July. “Because I live in denim, the fit was the most important. A girl’s booty needs to look good,” Simpson said.
The Dukes of Hazzard star, who also sells handbags and shoes under her line that raked her around $450 million, feels her denim line would become a girl’s best friend. “I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand — a jean that becomes a girl’s best friend, that everyday go-to pair,” Simpson said.
