"I am as comfortable in a pair of jeans as I am without them," says actor John Abraham about his recent ‘sexy’ ad, where he is pictured wearing nothing but second-skin jeans, unbuttoned and dangerously dangling off his rumoured-to-be-insured for R10 crore derriere.
“If it was up to me, I’d wear jeans everywhere! So, I had no problems in wearing just them for this shoot,” says Abraham, about the ad for menswear brand, Van Heusen, not wishing to disclose how much he was paid for doing so.
But why wear them so provocatively? “Why not? Is there anything sexier than a fit man in a pair of jeans? Style isn’t about trends or aping what actors wear, it’s about what you’re comfortable in,” he says.
He adds, “See, there are people who set trends and those who follow them. But, I cater to no one else except my fans. And, if by seeing me bare some skin this message gets across to them, then why not?”
