Hollywood is riding high on the vampire wave, with heartthrob Johnny Depp now planning to make a movie based on a yesteryear's vampire series.
As a child the 'Pirates of the Carribean' star was obsessed with the 1960s TV show 'Dark Shadows', about a man named Barnabas Collins who is struck with a Vampire curse, Daily Mail Reported.
"That's the plan. There was something very weird about Dark Shadows, it had the weirdest vibe to it, I'm sort of intrigued about that vibe. It's early days on it, but I'm excited about it," said the 46-year-old actor.
"I was obsessed with Barnabas Collins. I have photographs of me holding Barnabas Collins' posters when I was five or six," the actor added.
Depp has joined hands with director Tim Burton to work on the project. The duo has earlier collaborated on films including 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Sleepy Hollow'.
