Just like the good old days

A parinda from Lucknow wants me to hear about Kangna Ranaut. I’m told the actress is in the city of nawabs to shoot for Tanu Weds Manu or something such with Madhavan. So?

So, birty tells me that Kangy is in the company of her sister, Rangoli, who went there at didi’s behest. Naturally, the two behnaas are bonding big time in Lucknow, since Kangy is too busy otherwise. The Ranaut gals always have lunch together and even chit chat between shots.

Will Ranbir come on board?

Morning my malai sandwiches! How goes this Friday subah with you? As usual, I have some revelations from tinsel town for you, my dahlings. So read on…

Alright, we do know that Katrina Kaif has been confirmed to play the lead in director Aziz Mirza’s next, but hardly anything is known about the subject yet. A veteran jasoos just dropped by to tell me that the film in question is a remake of the angrezi flick, P. S. I Love You.

Apparently, Mirza is also co-producing the film in association with Warner Bros, who are the producers of the Hollywood original featuring Hillary Swank, Gerard Butler and Lisa Kudrow.

Needless to say Kat will replay the role enacted by Swank. The rest of the cast is yet to finalised. Although, it’s been reported that John Abraham and Ranbir Kapoor were to be roped in for Mirza’s movie, it seems unlikely if either of them will be in finally, says my informer. Reason: Gerard’s character dies much before the interval, so the storyline primarily revolves around Kat in this remake, and the men in question are not interested in abbreviated appearances.

According to my khabru, Mirza is maha impressed with Kat’s chemistry with Ranboo in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and is keen on casting them. But he isn’t sure the Kapoor dude would be just as keen considering the length of his character. So the director is figuring out ways of giving more screen time to the hero without straying from the storyline. Dehkte hain how Mirza saab manages to convince Ranboo to come on board. Hmmm.
