'Justin Bieber a smack addict in the making'

entertainment Updated: Mar 05, 2013 12:58 IST

English footballer Joey Barton has become a hate figure in Twitter world after he branded Justin Bieber a smack addiction waiting to happen.

The Marseille midfielder was bombarded by abusive tweets after he said that the teenage icon would end up on drugs.

The footie ace was also blasted for attacking the singer’s fans, who call themselves Beliebers, saying that he will rather flush his head down the toilet daily than be a Belieber.

The 30-year-old then compared the pop singer to Macaulay Culkin, who developed a drug addiction after achieving fame in his childhood.

“If your over the age of 14 and are male and listen to Justin Bieber, then you my friend are on a slippery slope. #futureweirdo,” the Daily star quoted him as tweeting.

Adam Williams tweeted, “your a jealous pr**k cause Bieber’s richer and more liked then you #vilescum #jelouslygetsyounowhere.”

Lauren Holt added, “Is @ Joey7Barton one of the biggest pr**ks going? Bieber doesn’t even know who you are you clown. Shut up you old-age wierdo #pastit.”

But Barton continued winding up the fans by labelling them mutants and writing “[Since] I mentioned the gizzard, that is Bieber. All the mutants that adore him are giving me all sorts of abuse here. F*** off. I don’t care.”
