Kareena Kapoor has a whole lot to look forward to these days. She's absolutely in no need of free, cheap publicity (read controversy). So the lady is confident enough to tell it as it is.
In an interview with Komal Nahata, a noted film critic and business analyst, the 30-year-old actor set the record straight about her impending marriage to Saif Ali Khan, her favourite icon among Bollywood's leading ladies and her favourite Khan.
Recently, it has been reported that Kareena and Saif will be getting engaged in February 2012 and will be tying the knot in October. Everything down to the last details was said to have been finalised.
"(This is) news that even I don't know about. Right now we're completely focussing on our films. He's so busy with Agent Vinod. I have three big releases coming out. We're focussing on our careers right now. We've never lied to the press about our relationship. We've always been open about it," said Kareena.
"We do want to settle down and get married. That thought is there and it's never going to not be there. But there is no truth to these rumours. Till we don't announce something officially, I think people should just trust us and wait."
Nahata then put the actor on the spot for a quick rapid fire.
He asked her to choose between Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif for a girls' night-out.
"I think Aishwarya. She's an icon in her own right. I think we'll have more to discuss than the others," replied Kareena.
Kareena Kapoor is the only Bollywood leading lady who has atleast one film with each of the King Khans - upcoming Bodyguard with Salman Khan, Agent Vinod with Saif Ali Khan, Ek Main aur Ek Tu with Imran Khan, Ra.One with Shah Rukh Khan and already released Three idiots with Aamir Khan.
When asked to choose her favourite amongst the Khans, Kareena said, "I love Aamir. So I'll say Aamir Khan."
Wonder what the other Khans have to say about that.
