Saif Ali Khan doesn’t believe in social networking. It’s his daughter Sara who is always on Facebook and Twitter. Daddy only uses the sites to keep track of family and friends. He admits though, that he will use them more when he has a release coming up to promote his film. "But otherwise, I’m too private a person to share my thoughts with the world. I’d rather keep strangers at a distance unless I strike a deal with a mobile company to stay connected," Khan says, tongue-in-cheek.
His ladylove, Kareena Kapoor is more network savvy and has made herself accessible to fans by starting official fan pages, Club Kareena on Facebook and Club Kareena on Twitter. Of late, the actress has been busy shooting for her many films and brands. Her commitments have left her with little time to be active on the net.
In response to the flood of requests from her fans who wanted to keep abreast of what was happening in her life and career, she decided to start these pages. Says the star’s spokesperson, “She will not be tweeting or hooking up to Facebook on a daily basis but will come on both the social networking and micro-blogging sites at least once in two weeks whenever she gets time from her professional commitments. Both pages will have the latest updates on her movies and endorsements, along with new pictures.”
