Karisma Kapoor says her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is more like a friend to her than a sibling. The 40-year-old actor, who made her comeback to the big screen with Dangerous Ishhq (2012), adds that the sisters share a strong bond.
“We are very close. She is a blessing in my life,” says Karisma.
But despite being close, the actor says they never interfere in each other’s professional decisions. “I think we have been lucky and fortunate to have had great careers,” she adds.
Ask her if she is worried that Kareena is rejecting film offers after her marriage to Saif Ali Khan, and Karisma says that “it is completely her choice”.
“She wants to pick and choose the work she is doing. She has always been that kind of a person,” she says.
And though it is known that Karisma went against her family to enter Bollywood, the actor says she would never force her opinion or aspirations on her children — Samaira and Kiaan. She says, “I am a kind of parent who will let them do whatever they want to do — whether they want to be an actor or not [is up to them]. I would never force anything on them.”
