The latest face to join the Bollywood bandwagon on the Internet is Kareena Kapoor. Unlike other celebrities and actors who are addicted to the microblogging site Twitter, Kapoor has launched her official website — www.kareenakapoor.me. The site, which has been designed by the actress herself, is reportedly, already thronged with fans.
The home page will publish post-its with notes written by Kareena for her fans, which will be updated regularly. One such current post-it reads, “I am proud to be a part of the global 1GOAL campaign to support education for all.”
Kareena is the first Indian actress to be associated with FIFA 1 GOAL along with the likes of global celebrities like Matt Damon, Jessica Alba, Kevin Spacey and Hillary Clinton and a few others in their international campaign on education.
“This is my own site, my own space. I like the idea of leaving notes for my fans on it. I have created a special fan book where they can write to me directly. Also, the 1GOAL campaign will reach a lot of people who are not familiar with Indian cinema too, so this site can be a window to India and Indian cinema,” says Kareena.
