Actor Kareena Kapoor has lent her voice to an audio book that is a women’s guide to holistic health. Westland Publishers will simultaneously launch the print and audio copies of nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar’s book called Women and The Weight Loss Tamasha, next week.
Diwekar will narrate the content, while Kapoor will be heard in the introduction. The actor is now being touted as the first major Bollywood star to lend her voice to an audio book, which has a first print run of one-lakh copies, of which 40,000 have already been pre-ordered. It will be available in MP3 format and one that works on iPods and iPhones.
Through this book Diwekar urges people to use common sense and not complicate one’s diet. Over the last decade, she has worked with many celebrities including Anil Ambani, Preity Zinta, Karishma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma.
